Unintentional resetting

Reconnecting the patient to the alarm system after temporary disconnection might end up in resetting of the alarm limits. Repeating the data entry on each connection increases the chance for data entry errors.

Hierarchical connection definition

The Mute feature may be used for situations in which the patient is temporarily disconnected from the alarm system.

Functional testing:

  1. Assign a patient to the system
  2. Connect the sensors to the patient
  3. Monitor
  4. Mute to disconnect
  5. Disconnect the sensors from the patient
  6. Reconnect the sensors
  7. Note that the system warns about being muted.
  8. Enable the sound alarm
